About Beaudesert

Beaudesert is a thriving business centre, 60km from Brisbane – a modern town, with a strong farming  and timber-getters heritage. It’s where the farmers and those from surrounding regions stock up on provisions, have a laugh in the pub or a meal in the cafe. It’s also home to a growing residential community, who appreciate the Scenic Rim’s country atmosphere.

Farming around Beaudesert continues in many guises – a little cropping, as well as beef cattle studs, grazing paddocks and the dairies which provide milk to Queensland. You’ll also notice all the horses – this is where the thoroughbreds come to rest, breed and train. Beaudesert race track is an integral part of the Queensland horse-racing circuit and race-day is popular with locals and visitors.

Because it’s only a short drive from Brisbane or the Gold Coast, Beaudesert and its surrounding country roads are popular for day trips, as well as midweek and weekend getaways.
